About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept spamming each other screenshots of whatever we'd downloaded that week. At some point it made more sense to write things down properly, so here we are. We cover puzzles, RPGs, strategy, arcades and everything in between.

The rule is simple: we don't review a game we haven't played. Sometimes that means a couple of sessions, sometimes it means weeks, depending on how deep the thing goes. A match-3 puzzle gets judged differently than a forty-hour tactics game, and we try to be fair about that.

We pick titles based on what people are actually installing, plus the odd hidden gem someone on the team stumbles into. Trends matter, but so does curiosity. If a game does something interesting with controls or pacing, we want to talk about it.

Everything here is written by people, edited by people, and occasionally argued about by people. If we got something wrong, tell us and we'll take another look.
