Tidebreaker Command

★★★★☆ 4.2 Editor rating

Tidebreaker Command puts you in charge of a small fleet and asks you to grow it without overextending. It's more about supply lines and map control than flashy battles, and that patience is exactly what makes it stick.

Each turn you're weighing whether to scout, fortify, or push into contested waters. The AI is smart enough to punish greed, so I lost my first two campaigns by grabbing too much too fast. Once I slowed down and defended chokepoints, the whole game opened up.

It runs well in short bursts thanks to a save-anywhere system, though a full campaign is a real commitment. If you like strategy that makes you sweat over a single decision, this is worth your time.
