Big Bass Drop
Big Bass Drop is one of those games that looks simple in a screenshot and then quietly eats your afternoon. You tap to cast, hold to lower your line, and release at the right depth to hook whatever's swimming past. That's the whole loop, but the timing windows tighten as you go and it turns into a real test of patience.
The controls are the best part. Everything happens with one thumb, and the game reads pressure and rhythm surprisingly well. Landing a difficult catch after three failed attempts genuinely feels good, and the little splash animation when a fish bites has more personality than it needs to. Later stages introduce moving currents and stacked schools of fish, which forces you to plan your drops instead of just reacting.
What I appreciated most is that it never overstays its welcome in a single session. Rounds are short, the difficulty curve is honest, and there's a satisfying rhythm to chasing a better score on a lake you thought you'd mastered. It's a great commute game and an even better wind-down-before-bed game.
